Summer got here, but my body was not ready. Also, my scale decided to start bugging and show me some numbers I couldn't accept. So, we had a little squabble. In any case, I had no good excuses - not my illness, not the pandemic, nothing... It was time to get a grip and get back on the tracks, so, did I, three weeks ago, on Monday. Even more special it would be because our twins would be a little over a year old, so our three sons would be walking with us. Extraordinary moments, year after year!

Once Again, I would like to thank you all for your support in this year's Boston Heart Walk. Together, we did a great job for the American Heart Association.
As always, it is special walking along the Esplanade with my care team, my mentors, my family and friends, and our young twin boys as special guests. It was another moment of reflection and of gratitude. As my wife would say, looking back to last year this time - What a difference a year makes!

This year’s walk helped raise over $1.2 million (... and counting). [...]

I recently graduated from my cardiac rehabilitation after my LVAD heart pump surgery. However, the completion of the rehab program does not come with long-lasting benefits. Going home and doing nothing, one would lose fitness in a couple of weeks. So, what next? With the team, we have set up a transition plan and I devised a Cardiac fitness plan – to remain active and exercising.
With the LVAD, I am limited in the activities I may take on, in addition to the intensity I exercise with. [...]
